What’s the difference between private and group lessons?
Nothing can beat private one on one lessons where teacher and student can work together on specific repertoire and goals of the student with moment-to-moment corrections and attention. Learning is direct, exact, and much faster. You are motivated to prepare for each lesson thoroughly.
In group lessons, there is a curriculum and repertoire that is the same for everyone. There is support of a group environment. Each group lesson assumes that you have studied and practiced for the week with new material added each week.
By the end of 6 lessons you will have a basic understanding of hand position, will read notes, will have learned several simple songs to play and will be able to continue to work on your own.
